District School Board Ontario North East is thrilled to announce the appointment of Lesleigh Dye as Director of Education and Board Secretary powerful August 14, 2017.

Following Director Linda Knight’s assertion of her cause to retire in June of 2016, District School Board Ontario North East began an in-depth technique to rent a new Director of Education.

The appointment becomes approved by the Board at its regular assembly hung on June 6, 2017.

“Lesleigh Dye brings a splendid wealth of enjoying, know-how and competencies to this critical management role,” said Board Chair Doug Shearer.

He introduced: “We recognize that her imaginative and prescient, caring and the course will make sure the continuing support and success of our students, our households, our team of workers and our communities.”

Lesleigh Dye has been Superintendent of Schools for Rainbow District School Board due to the fact that 2006. In addition to a circle of relatives of schools, she has been responsible for some of the portfolios from Kindergarten, to Program, to Indigenous Education, to Equity and Inclusive Education, to Adult Education, to Elementary Human Resources, to Leadership.

“Through my reports, I have been honored to serve the first-rate workforce who’ve labored tough to create tremendous future stories for all students,” said Dye. “I stay up for working with trustees, the group of workers and all companions inside and beyond District School Board Ontario North East to make the certain achievement for each and every scholar.”

Lesleigh Dye has served as Principal and Vice-Principal of huge and numerous colleges in Toronto and Ottawa. She has also been an administrator in Continuing Education.

As Student Success Leader with the Ottawa-Carleton District School Board, she oversaw the implementation of the Student Success Initiative in literacy, numeracy, and pathways. Director Linda Knight could be retiring after a forty-eight 12 months career in Education and 15 years as Director of Education for District School Board Ontario North East.

Like all countries, Tanzania is bracing itself for a new century in every respect. The dawn of the new millennium brings in new changes and challenges of all sectors. The Education and Training sector has not been spared for these challenges. This is, particularly important in recognition of adverse/implications of globalization for developing states including Tanzania. For example, in the case of Tanzania, globalization entails the risks of increased dependence and marginalization and thus human resource development needs to play a central role to redress the situation. Specifically, the challenges include the globalization challenges, access and equity, inclusive or special needs education, institutional capacity building and the HIV/Aids challenge.
