What are the Eligibility Criteria for LLB Courses?

Most colleges and universities ask for a minimum of 50% Marks at Higher & Senior Secondary levels (10th & 12th). You can even bag a scholarship in top universities if you have scored 75% in 10th and 12th. Universities like UPES offer a 50% tuition fee waiver on 20% of each program’s seats in the first semester for CBSE, ICSE & State board pass-out students. The LLB Corporate Law course interval is five years, and most colleges and universities have less than 150 seats. Admission is mostly granted through Board Merit/ CLAT Merit/ L-SAT India Merit. However, some universities, like UL-SAT, also conduct their own admission entrance exams. Such universities have most seats reserved for admission through their entrance exam. So, if you seek access through an entrance test devised by a college or university, make sure to know everything about the entrance.

As per the Bar Council of India, only those candidates can apply for admission whose birth date falls on or after October 1, 1996. Only the Secondary Education Board/University Certificate is treated as authentic proof of date of birth. You must know that if you have a compartment in any of the subjects in the 12th board, you are not eligible to apply for any of the LLB courses in any college or university.
