We all love free stuff, don’t we? Not that I believe in a ‘free lunch,’ but little did I know that winning a simple social media contest conducted by Treebo Hotels ( https://www.treebo.com/ ) would land me a weeklong vacation, all expenses paid (travel excluded). Seriously, I almost fell off my bed when I read the team’s email at Treebo informing me that I had won their social media competition and could choose to stay at any Treebo property in India! Unable to contain me, I broke out into a crazy dance, somewhat like the Futterwacken by the Mad Hatter in ‘Alice in Wonderland.’ Having finally gained composure (more like forced by my parents), I did a bit of research browsing through Treebo hotel ratings and reviews on online platforms like TripAdvisor before zeroing in on Treebo Rainforest Enclave in Arpora, Goa. With a rating of 5 out of 5 on TripAdvisor, I packed my bags and was soon on my way to the land of sandy beaches, foaming waves, and plenty of sunlight! Well, time does fly, and now that I am back from my weeklong trip, here’s my review of this beautiful resort.

Beach-lovers Paradise

When it comes to location and accessibility, Treebo Rainforest Enclave wins hands down! Just a few minutes from the main road yet secluded from the ‘madding crowd,’ staying at this hotel was a great experience. In terms of getting to the hotel, the Dabolim Airport is around 38 km, and Thivim Railway Station is about 15 km away. However, if you travel to the city by bus, the Mapusa Bus Station is 7 km away from the Treebo Rainforest Enclave.

Being in Goa, I made the of my time exploring this beautiful city. A big plus point to staying at Treebo Rainforest Enclave is its proximity to tourist hotspots such as Chapora Fort, Shanta Durga Temple, Fort Aguada, and River Cruise, all within 10 km.  The Baga Night Market and Anjuna Flea Market are within 3 km of this hotel. Baga Beach is 2 km from this hotel, making it an ideal choice for beach-lovers like myself. The Basilica of Bom Jesus, the Church of Saint Cajetan, and Tiracol Fort are within 20 km, and I enjoyed exploring the city on the motorbike that I rented.

Cozy beds and modern gizmo

Imagine waking up to the sight of tall palm trees swaying in the wind and golden rays of the sun filtering into your room. As a matter of fact, the most impressive feature of the rooms provided by Treebo Rainforest Enclave is its larger-than-life glass windows. The rooms are spacious and not cramped with furniture. The beds are cozy and the linens spotless, which most budget properties don’t give much thought about. Nope no torn or stained towels at Treebo!

I was provided with bottled water, a tea/coffee kit, and branded toiletries to use during my stay. Well, what more could I ask for? Having put up with non-functional air-conditioning and TV’s with limited channels in the past, the air-conditioning in Treebo Rainforest Enclave worked fine. I had various English, Hindi, and vernacular channels to choose from if and when I decided to watch some TV.

Extras on the House

Coming to the amenities provided by Treebo Rainforest Enclave – the swimming pool, though small, is a delight during the warm and humid afternoons and for a cozy romantic evening with your beloved. Being a person who likes to work out daily, the in-house fitness center was a welcome surprise for me. Though I did not make use of the facility, there is a tour desk at the Treebo Rainforest Enclave that helps tourists explore the city. What I did make use of was the laundry service, though I did have to pay for this facility.

All Smiles, No Attitude

The staff at Treebo Rainforest Enclave were thorough professionals. Check-in and check-out were seamless, and the staff did all that they could to ensure a comfortable week. Kudos to the team at Treebo that answered every call made to the reception and took care of my needs as promised by the brand. Being a stickler for perfection, I was very observant during my stay at the hotel and was extremely pleased to have had put up at Treebo Rainforest Enclave. Ever so often, one comes across a negative review complaining not about the hotel’s services but of the attitude on the part of the staff. In my case, I am glad to say that the staff at Treebo Rainforest Enclave were a bunch of hardworking and jolly people, always ready to help!

Overall, my stay at Treebo Rainforest Enclave will always remain special, not because of my win, but because of my experience at the hotel and its staff. If I were to rate my experience at Treebo Rainforest Enclave, I would gladly give Treebo a 5 out of 5. For those planning a trip to North Goa, the hotel you choose can it make your vacation or ruin it big time. Thanks to Treebo, mine was fun-filled, relaxed, and rejuvenating.
